Dog Mahjong: Match Pairs of Tiles
About Dog Mahjong
Dog Mahjong is a simple and cute version of the classic tile game of Chinese origin. Instead of traditional symbols, the tiles show puppies of different breeds and poses, plus objects like doghouses and bones. The goal is to match pairs of identical tiles until the board is empty. It is easier than traditional mahjong, which makes it ideal for beginners or a relaxed game. If you love furry friends, discover more titles in our dog games.
How do you play Dog Mahjong?
You can only pick the tiles that are free, meaning the ones at the edges that are not blocked by others. Click a free tile and then another one exactly the same to remove them together. Look closely at the details, because some dogs look very alike but do not make a pair. As you remove tiles, the ones underneath or beside them become free and new combinations appear. The game ends when you manage to clear the board completely, so every decision counts: a badly chosen pair can block a tile you will need later. That is why, even though the pace is calm and there is no rush, it is worth thinking a little before each move, as in any good light strategy board game.
- Find the free tiles on the board.
- Look for two identical pictures among them.
- Click both to remove them.
- Repeat until all the tiles are gone.

Tips to play better: Dog Mahjong
- Before matching, check whether a tile is covering many others: freeing it first opens up more options.
- When three or four identical tiles are free, think about which pair unlocks the most tiles.
- Calmly compare the dog's breed, color and pose: small differences are the main trap.
- Do not leave buried tiles in the middle for last; try to clear the tall piles as soon as possible.
