About Triple Mahjong

Triple Mahjong is a version of the classic Chinese tile solitaire with a different rule: instead of matching two tiles, here you have to gather three identical tiles. You pick them from the pile and they're placed in an area at the top of the screen; when you gather three of a kind, they disappear. It's a very successful blend of the mahjong solitaire we all know and match 3 games.

The tiles show colorful Chinese symbols, circles, bamboo sticks and other traditional designs, so you'll have to look closely at the details to tell apart the ones that are exactly the same. It's a relaxing game, ideal for training your visual attention and concentration without rushing. It appeals both to those who already know mahjong and to those looking for a relaxing pastime to unwind for a while.

How do you play Triple Mahjong?

The goal is to clear the board. You can only pick tiles that are free, that is, those with no other tile on top covering them.

Look at the board and spot groups of three matching tiles that are available.
Click or tap a tile to send it to the top area.
When you gather three identical tiles there, they are removed and leave room for the next ones.
Keep combining triplets until no tiles are left on the board.

Tips for playing better: Triple Mahjong

Don't send tiles up there recklessly: before choosing one, make sure you can get the other two matching ones soon. Filling the top area with loose tiles is the easiest way to get stuck.
Prioritize tiles that sit on top of others in tall stacks; freeing them opens more options than those already at the edges.
Some symbols look very similar (especially the Chinese characters). Pay attention to the color and the small number in the corner when there is one.
If you see two identical tiles already free, look for the third before moving either of them.
