Online Darts: Play Against Friends or the CPU

About Online Darts

This game of online darts puts you in front of a tournament dartboard to show off your steady hand and cool head. You can play solo, take on the computer, or play online darts against a friend, taking turns on the same device. Every throw comes down to three moves: setting the starting point, choosing the direction and charging up just the right amount of power. Aiming for the center isn't enough: you'll have to think about which zones suit you best at any moment to outscore your rival. If you enjoy precision challenges, you'll find plenty more in our sports games.

How to Play Online Darts?

The mechanics are easy to understand but take practice to master. The dart moves on its own and you decide when to stop it; then you adjust the trajectory and power before releasing it.

  1. Choose a mode: practice, against the computer or against another player.
  2. Click when the dart passes the position you want to throw from.
  3. Move the cursor left or right to set the direction.
  4. Drag down to charge the power and release to throw at the dartboard.

The winner is whoever gets the best score under the match rules, so every dart counts. Remember that the board is divided into numbered sectors and the thin rings multiply the value of the sector: a good shot in the right ring can be worth more than hitting the center. That's why this online darts game blends aim and strategy in equal parts, just like in a pub or a real competition.

Online Darts controls

PC

  • Left click: set the throwing position
  • Move the mouse sideways: adjust the direction
  • Move the mouse down: charge the power and throw

Mobile and tablet

  • Touch and drag: set, aim and charge the throw with your finger

Tips for Playing Better: Online Darts

  • Start in practice mode: the relationship between how far you drag and the dart's force changes a lot from throw to throw until you get the hang of it.
  • Make slow, short movements when adjusting the direction; a sudden move sends the dart off by several sectors.
  • The center isn't always the best option: watch for the rings that multiply points and pick the zone that suits you best based on the score.
  • If you play against a friend, watch their misses: they'll give you clues about how much power you need.

Online Darts FAQ

Can I play this online darts game with friends?

Yes. It has a two-player mode where you take turns on the same computer or tablet, plus the mode against the computer.

Do I need to install anything to play online darts?

No. It runs right in your browser, on both PC and mobile, and it's completely free.

Why do my darts fall short or miss the board?

It's usually the power: if you drag too little, the dart drops low; if you drag too much, it flies high. Practice until you find the right amount.
